Jesus clearly reinforced the importance of the two great commandments: Love God and love your neighbour. But Jesus also gave us a new commandment. He said, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another” (John 13:34). For this reason, our desire is that Gateway be a faith community in which we care for one another in practical and meaningful ways.
The Care Ministry at Gateway’s Panet campus is primarily focused on providing meals to those in need during major life transitions.
Agape Meals ministry is in place for families that are in a particular season of life where a meal could really bless them, such as a death in the family, the birth of a child, or moving to a new home. If you, or someone you know in the congregation, is in such a season, please contact Krista Gerbrandt at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are lots of ways we can put Christ’s love into action!
At Gateway’s South Osborne campus, Cell Groups often look after the needs that come up for people who are a part of a Cell Group or the congregation. But anyone who is aware of a need is welcome to call Pastor Aaron or his wife Wilma to see how that need can be looked after.
