“Now if we are children, then we are heirs – heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.” Romans 8:17
Heirforce uses a large-group/small-group format and serves children in Grades 1-4. Children are dismissed to Heirforce after enjoying a time of worship with their families. When they arrive in Heirforce, boys and girls are separated into small groups based on age and gender (eg: Grade 3 boys) and they meet briefly with their small group leader who welcomes them and introduces the morning’s topic. Small group leaders are trained teenagers and adults who love Jesus and love kids and have been approved for ministry through our application process.
The main Bible teaching is taught in a large-group format by a skilled leader who uses drama, object lessons and stories to engage the kids in lessons that are age-appropriate, relevant, Bible-based and fun! Kids then return to small groups for follow-up activities where their leaders make sure the Bible truths are made relevant for today’s kids. Another benefit of the small group setting is that every child has a chance to be heard and known by a group of peers and a caring leader – we don’t want any child going home feeling overlooked or unheard. Time is also given for the small group to pray together about any concerns the children may have.
