Our desire at Gateway is that prayer be at the heart of everything we do. Without prayer, whatever we do will be as limited in its purpose and potential as are our natural strengths and abilities. Prayer not only invites God into helping us with all that we’re doing, but prayer is the way in which we discover what we’re to be doing in the first place! In other words, if we want to be involved in the deep works of God rather than the shallow works of men and women, we must continually connect with God in prayer.
Jesus said, "My house shall be a house of prayer for all nations." (Matt 21:13) The last Thursday of every month, both our church campuses hold corporate prayer gatherings called "Prayer Summits." We consider Prayer Summits to be the most important event on our church calendar! It's a dynamic time of prayer & worship where people at every stage of their walk with Jesus can participate and learn to exercise the power of prayer together. We encourage every member of Gateway to make these evenings a priority.
Panet Road Prayer Summit: 7:00 - 8:30pm
South Osborne Prayer Summit: 7:30 - 9:30pm
Panet Corporate Prayer
Gateway Panet is in a season of expansion in these days - of our hearts and thoughts as much as of our land and our facility. We are seeking God, eager to know His will for us, listening for direction regarding a new location for our church and school building. If members of Gateway would like to gather together to participate in corporate prayer times, in addition to the monthly Prayer Summits, please join us at any of the following opportunities...
Weekly on Tuesday mornings, 7:00 - 8:00am
Weekly on Tuesday evenings, 6:00 - 7:30pm
Weekly on Wednesday mornings, 6:00 - 7:00am
"Fire in the Night"
Monthly, on the last Thursday of the month, 9pm - 12am (after the monthly Prayer Summits)
Pegwatch Prayer Furnace
The most visible way in which this priority of prayer has been expressed at Gateway is through our hosting of the Pegwatch Prayer Furnace on our property on 861 Panet Road. Since it began in Gateway’s gymnasium in July 2005, later moving to a little white bungalow on the northwest corner of Gateway’s parking lot, participants have offered continual 24/7 prayer and worship to the Lord Jesus (apart form a few brief interuptions)! Worshipers and intercessors from Winnipeg-area churches are welcome to sign up for shifts in the Prayer Furnace of one or more hours.
To sign up or to share a prayer request, simply contact Jonathan or Carolyn Mutch at email@example.com or at 887-1573. Or you can simply leave your request at Gateway’s prayer request link and we will pass it on to the Prayer Furnace.
