Gateway KIDS Ministry Greeter: These friendly people serve in the foyer on Sunday mornings while parents are registering their children for KIDS Ministry classes. Greeters are trained to assist parents with the electronic check-in kiosks and can trouble-shoot when needed. They also welcome guest families and assist them in registering their children and finding the correct classrooms.

Greeters: As people arrive at Gateway on Sundays, it’s encouraging to offer them a cheerful hello and a warm handshake as they enter the building. For guests unfamiliar with our building, it can even be reassuring. This is the first point of contact that guests have as they visit Gateway, and we want it to be a good first impression.

Heirforce Small Group Leaders: These are the essential care-givers in the Grades 1-4 classroom on Sunday mornings. Small Group Leaders are responsible for a group of 6-8 children in Grades 1 & 2 or in Grades 3 & 4. They participate with their group during the Large Group teaching time, and then gather their group for some Small Group application activities. This involves reviewing the day’s Bible truths using games, crafts, experiments or discussion, and leading their small group in prayer.

Hospital Visitation Coordinator: When someone is in the hospital, it’s a great encouragement when visitors come to encourage and pray with them, but not necessarily if they come all at once or in quick succession. That is why it would be a great help if a caring and administrative person was able to lead and coordinate a team of volunteers to oversee hospital visitation for members of the Panet congregation. Such arrangements would be in addition to visits from Gateway Panet’s pastoral staff.

Hospital Visitation Volunteer: When someone is in the hospital, it’s a great encouragement when visitors come to encourage and pray with them, but not necessarily if they come all at once or in quick succession. That is why it would be valuable if a team of caring, patient, encouraging and prayerful people could be coordinated to strengthen the pastoral care of those in the congregation who are in hospital. The people on this team would provide visits in addition to visits from Gateway Panet’s pastoral staff.

They support the Impact Large Group Leader during and after the Bible teaching time, helping to maintain order in the classroom, and then leading a small group discussion related to the lesson. This application time may also include games or activities to help the kids understand the concepts more clearly.

Sunday Prayer Team: We always want there to be opportunity for people to be prayed for after a Sunday service. Many people come on Sundays with burdens, and it’s a blessing to have someone partner with them in prayer regarding those needs. People on Panet’s Sunday Prayer Team are scheduled to be available on specific Sundays to pray for those who come forward after the sermon. People may be invited forward regarding a particular application to the sermon or for more personal reasons that they would like prayer for.

Ushers: Warmly welcome people as they enter the auditorium on Sunday mornings. This is more than distributing bulletins or helping people find chairs once the room begins filling up. Being an usher is an important opportunity to make sure that each person who arrives at Gateway knows that we are very glad they’re with us!

Welcome Cart Team Members: We want to be sure to connect with every first-time visitor who visits Gateway Panet on a Sunday. Many of the people we do connect with leave us with their contact info and ask how they can know more about Gateway or ask how they can join a small group. The Welcome Cart is a place for friendly people eager to connect with people who are in various places on their spiritual journey, some having given their lives to Jesus on the morning they visited Gateway!

Youth Mentor: The vision of Gateway’s Youth Ministry is to multiply disciples who spread a passion for the glory of God through Jesus Christ to every nation and every generation. Youth mentors have the privilege of investing in the lives of young people and young leaders, discipling them so that they grow in their walk with Jesus. When pursued in a consistent way, the rich reward is seeing a young person become more like Jesus, and then go on to disciple other youth.
