Open every Saturday, 9:00am – 10:30am
The purpose of Gateway’s Foodbank is to express the love and compassion of God to the people of the communities around us by serving them in practical ways that touch very real felt needs. Those who attend the Foodbank are treated with dignity and respect, and their privacy is always maintained. The food we distribute is provided by Winnipeg Harvest as well as by contributions by people within Gateway Church. When requested, volunteers from the Foodbank are available to provide emotional or spiritual support, and when available, home visits.
The volunteers arrive each Saturday at 8.30am. The doors open for the clients at 9.00am, at which time coffee and donuts are served, registration beginning at 9:00am.
The Gateway Foodbank is open Saturdays, 9:00am – 10:30am.
For those in need…
If you are in need and would like to use Gateway’s Foodbank, please call Winnipeg Harvest the week before you plan to attend at 204-982-3660 (with your 6-digit medical number ready), Monday to Wednesday, 9:15am-3:30pm, or on Saturdays, 9:15am-12:30pm. Please bring your Manitoba Health Card for identification whenever you attend.
Unless it is your first visit to Gateway’s Foodbank, if you arrive at the foodbank without pre-registering the week before, you will be asked to wait until all those who have registered go through first.
