Daily Bible Reading Plan

At Gateway, we encourage people to read the Bible on a daily basis. The Bible is God’s Word to us, and it is meant to be spiritual food that nourishes our spirit. In fact, there is nothing on this earth that will strengthen our spirit in the way the Word of God does.

It says in 2 Timothy 3:16 that "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness."

A Bible Reading Plan is a great help in keeping ourselves regularly in God’s Word, and the one that we encourage people to use at Gateway is found in the Life Journal (available for $9.00 each in the Gateway Bookstore at our Panet campus, or ask a pastor for one at our South campus).

The Life Journal contains a Through-the-Bible Reading Plan that, when followed daily, will help you to read through the entire Bible in a year. It also contains pages on which you can record specific things you’re praying about and when God provided an answer. But the bulk of the Life Journal is journaling pages on which you can write what you learn and hear God say to you as you read through the Bible. This is an invaluable way to grow spiritually as you read, as it helps you to interact with and apply God’s Word to your life rather than just accumulating knowledge.
