Our desire at Gateway is that prayer be at the heart of everything we do. Without prayer, whatever we do will be as limited in its purpose and potential as are our natural strengths and abilities. Prayer not only invites God into helping us with all that we’re doing, but prayer is the way in which we discover what we’re to be doing in the first place! In other words, if we want to be involved in the deep works of God rather than the shallow works of men and women, we must continually connect with God in prayer.
Jesus said, "My house shall be a house of prayer for all nations" (Matthew 21:13). The first Wednesday of every month, 7:00-8:30pm, both our church campuses hold corporate prayer gatherings called "Prayer Summits." We consider Prayer Summits to be the most important event on our church calendar! It's a dynamic time of prayer & worship where people at every stage of their walk with Jesus can participate and learn to exercise the power of prayer together. We encourage every member of Gateway to make these evenings a priority.
Weekly Prayer Gatherings
Every Wednesday morning, you are welcome to join us upstairs at our Panet campus in The King's School Library, 7-8am.
And on every Wednesday evening that isn't a Prayer Summit, you can join us in the Panet Multi-Purpose Room, 7-9pm (or for however long you can be there).
South Osborne Ladies' Prayer
Many of the women in our South Osborne congregation meet weekly, as well as one evening a month, at our South Osborne campus to pray together and for each other.
Each Tuesday, we meet in the morning from 9:30 to 11:00am, and on the third Wednesday evening of every month, we also meet from 7:00 to 8:30pm. Free childcare is provided for the morning meetings so that as many women as possible will be able to participate.
The time is spent in praying for both big and small requests – nothing is too big or too small to bring before our Father. The time of prayer and fellowship is deep and rich for all who come. Come to pray or be prayed for, to minister or be ministered to. It’s all part of moving the kingdom of God forward, and everyone is welcome.
If you are interested in joining us, please contact Ivy Sawatzky since the location does sometimes change
