Apostolic Missions

This is in reference to the equipping gifts we see in operation in Ephesians 4:11-12 — "And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ"

This speaks of a focus on equipping and strengthening local churches (including our own) in our city, our province, and worldwide. As God places Gateway in relationship with other churches, we desire to give of the experience and resources God has given us so that they may move ahead in His plans for them.

This approach expresses itself by teams of people with complementary Eph. 4:11 giftings being sent out for short-term visits to churches and outreach teams with whom we are in relationship. The aim of such trips is to communicate and demonstrate the principles of the Kingdom for the purpose of equipping the saints and releasing them into works of service and ministry. These apostolic teams may also be involved in church planting, both directly and foundationally.

Gateway has been involved in such outreach in Winnipeg, elsewhere in Manitoba, the United Kingdom, Latin America, and various countries in Africa and Asia, including (but not limited to) India, Mongolia, Uganda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
